What is a PMI® Registered Education Provider (R.E.P.)
PMI®‘s R.E.P.s are organizations approved by PMI® to offer project management training. The designation as a PMI® R.E.P. indicates that an organization has met strict quality standards and can deliver world-class effective project management training and education.
Through PMI®’s rigorous quality criteria for instructional design, course content and instructor qualification, R.E.P.s provide the project management training necessary to earn and to maintain Project Management Professional (PMP), Program Management Professional (PgMP) and other PMI® professional credentials.
As a R.E.P. SandboxModel offers PDUs (Professional Development Units) to candidates who successfully complete specific courses.
What are PDUs?
PDUs are Professional Development Units, necessary for maintaining PMI® certified credentials. Participants can earn PDUs by participating in learning activities provided by R.E.P.s. Usually, one PDU is awarded for one hour of training. PMP Examination candidates can register their contact hours towards attaining their PMP certification.
How many PDUs are needed?
To maintain PMP certification, a PMP needs to accrue 60 PDUs every three years. PMP candidates are required to earn 35 PDUs gained through training provided by R.E.P.s.
How are PDUs Claimed?
PMPs are responsible for reporting PDUs once they complete a training activity provided by a R.E.P. To submit a PDU claim visit PMI®’s website and follow the instructions.
